Trigger Warning * Talks about Depression.

Sometimes I hate to look at you.

Your eyes blank and devoid of emotion.

Happiness is fleeting, gone so fast you wouldn’t know it was there.

Trapped in your mind, unable to find the key.

Sometimes you wonder how you got to this point.

Bitter and jaded with a hint of sadness.

You were never one for optimism.

It seems silly at a time like this.

Always prepared for the letdown of life, especially by the people around you.

Feeling like an empty void sucking the life of those around you.

Still not enough to feed the empty beast inside of you.

The beast roars for more never getting full.

You remain unsatisfied and tired.

Insatiable with the need to overcompensate for Perceived failure.

Never able to look at yourself.

Ask the tough questions.

Afraid of the answer.

Afraid of what you’ve become.
